STANLEY A. JOHNSON was born November 13, 1936, at the Oakland Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska, to Russell and Emma (Hilbers) Johnson. He passed away Monday, March 5, 2012, at Oakland Mercy Hospital after a 10 month battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 75 years.
Stan attended North Argo Elementary and graduated from Oakland High School.
He married Marianne Anderson in 1956 and they had three children. Marianne passed away in 1990. Stan and Donna Thielfoldt of Uehling were married in 1995.
Stan was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland.
Stan was an avid sports fan. In his earlier years, he pitched for several softball teams including Hillside Dairy of Uehling. Stan had a passion for hunting, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family including many fish fries.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Emma (Hilbers) Johnson; wife, Marianne (Anderson) Johnson and brother-in-law, Bruce Carlson.
