Ferdinand Perlenfein was born Oct. 4, 1895 at Sutton,NE to Jacob and Eva Perlenfein. He lived there with his parents until 1906, when they came to Oakes,ND. This place has continued as his home since that time.
He was a Veteran of the World War, having served 10 months in the Cavalry. He was a faithfull member of the local post of the American Legion. He will be greatly missed by freinds and Legion members.
He passed away Jun. 18, 1931 at the U.S. Veterans Hospital at Fargo,ND. He had been in ill health since last fall. Death was due to high blood pressure and other causes.
He is survived by his father Jacob,four brothers,William of Youma,CA,; Gust of Luske,Wyo, ahd Edward and John of this section,;four sisters, Mrs. Geo. Newman of Walback,Neb,; Mrs. Walter Lillyquist, Longville,Mn,; Mrs. James Anderson of Ludden,ND, ans Mrs. G.H. Buske of Oakes,ND. Three brothers, one sister and his mother preceded him in death
Funeral services were at the Presbyterian Church at 3:00 p.m. Rev. S.B. Doty officiating.
