Gregory, Charles Noble: A.M., LL.D., Lawyer and law teacher. Moved with his parents to Madison, Wis., 1858. Graduated from the Univ. of Wis., 1871, taking honor of Latin Salutatory and graduated later from its Law School and received Hon. LL.D. from same, 1901. Practiced law in Madison from 1872 to 1994. Then became associate Dean of the College of Law, Univ. of Wis.; resigned 1901 to accept Deanship Coll. Law, State Univ. of Iowa. He belonged to many organizations and wrote books, including "Life of Justice Miller, of the Supreme Court of the United States" and many papers and addresses on proceedings of learned societies, domestic and foreign, especially on International Law.
