James R. Tindall, 76 year-old timber buyer for Spear Lumber Company and resident of 2730 U Street, Bedford, died at 4:20 a.m. today at Dunn Memorial Hospital, where he had entered December 11. Mr. Tindall had been ill only a short time.

He was born June 11, 1892 at Williams to Jerry and Mary Inman Tindall. He married Gertrude Davis on July 6, 1929, and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Nola Fern Etchlson of California; one son, Robert Tindall, Indianapolis; one granddaughter, Miss Luanne Tindall, also of Indianapolis; one brother, William F. Tindall of South Bend, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Rosa VanWinkle of Bowling Green, Ky.

Preceding him in death were a sister, Ella Moore and a brother, Everett Tindall.

Mr. Tindall was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Final rites will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel of Day 4 Carter Mortuary with Rev. Denton Barnes officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Day 4 Carter Mortuary.
