James M. Armstrong, 72, of Georgetown died at his residence on March 31 at 5:30 a.m. and services were held at the Selma Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Matthews in charge.

Pallbearers were Charles Coburn, M. C. Armstrong, D. B. Armstrong, J. A. Armstrong, J. M. Armstrong and Wilmer Armstrong.

Survivors are two brothers, Edward and Louis Armstrong, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Cane [sic King], Mrs. Lula Pike and Mrs. Minnie Engle.

Interment was made in the Georgetown cemetery under the direction of the Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.
