A. Russell Gwynn, Principal, Dies
A. Russell Gwynn, 56, of 729 Greeley, Webster Groves, a St. Louis elementary school principal for 16 years, died early yesterday following a stroke.
Mr. Gwynn came to St. Louis in 1940 and had served successively as principal of four elementary schools: Meramec, Kennard, Buder and Hempstead. He had been in the teaching profession 35 years, coming here from Monroe County. Mo.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Amy Marie Gwynn, and a daughter, Peggy.
The body will be at Parker Aldrich Chapel, 15 West Lockwood ave., Webster Groves. Burial will be held tomorrow at Paris, Mo.
