Marie Edwards, of Houston, Texas, passed away Friday afternoon at Triumph Hospital Southwest in Sugarland, Texas.
Born in Hochheim, Texas, to Frank F. Johnson and Mary Etta Davis, Marie lived in Port Arthur for a number of years before moving to Houston in 1954.
She retired from Texas instruments as a supervisor in 1981 after 13 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Edwards; her daughter, Etta Brown; her granddaughter, Charla Warren; her sister, Ruth Stuckey; her brothers, Bill Johnson and Monte Johnson.
She was survived by her daughter, Jodie Vazquez; her two sons, Richard Wayne Edwards and Walter Ernest Hebert; her sister, Lucille Klingler; eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Sigman, officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
