FORSYTH, MT. ---- Edith M. Finch and her husband lived in Rosebud and homesteaded 20 miles up the Little Porcupine.

They also lived south of Colstrip and in Howard Valley before coming to Forsyth.

She served as courtroom bailiff in Rosebud County for about 35 years, and was a member of Rosebud County Pioneers, Range Reps of Miles City and Forsyth Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Finch 95 died Tuesday evening in Rosebud Community Nursing Home.

She was born on the family ranch on the Little Porcupine, a daughter of Peter and Mary Price Jackson.

She attended schools in Forsyth and Miles City, MT.

She married Harold Finch Sept. 2, 1908, in Miles City.

He died Jan. 15, 1945.

Survivors include a son, Walter of Bozeman, MT., two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Tait and Mrs. Lavina Edgell both of Forsyth, MT., 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Beals Mortuary Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church.

Burial in Forsyth Catholic Cemetery, Forsyth, MT.
