Mary Garrison, 82
Mary Garrison of Dover passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2007, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 82.
Mary was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas and Fanny Mary (Gosney) Rosier.
She was a member of People's United Church of Christ, Dover, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Mary was married in 1943 and moved to Dover from Ohio later that year. She became the bookkeeper for the Garrison family farm business, and she and her husband started the Garrison Old English Donut Shop on Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
She enjoyed birds and dogs.
Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gamaliel E. Garrison of Dover; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas R. and Elaine Garrison of Dover, George R. Garrison of Delmar, Charles G. and Efser Garrison of Dover and Mark Garrison of Rehoboth Beach; a daughter, Florence M. Garrison of Dover; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Remembrance services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Cheswold.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Kent County S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
