Leslie Raymond Metcalf, born to Carrie Gara Metcalf and Leslie Raymond Metcalf in Houston, TX on May 13, 1923, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2011.
During his lifetime he graduated from South Texas College of Law & Commerce with an Accounting Degree, was an Accountant at American Republic Corporation, treasury controller at Rycade/ Midhurst Oil Company and an Executive VP at Midhurst Corporation. He served as President of Stuart Cameron McLeod Society, VP of National Assn. of Accountants and President of Petroleum Accounts Society. He also was a member of First Methodist Church of Houston, TX and Champions Golf Club. He served in the Army Airforce and was awarded the bronze star medal for meritorious service in Kunming, China.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Houston Metcalf; children, L.R. Metcalf Jr. and wife Lorelie, Carolyn Metcalf Ohls and husband Larry, Margie Metcalf Wimberly and husband, Jim; seven grandchildren,and seven great-grandchildren.
