Ethel Leona Lawing Seagle, 99, formerly of Lawing School Road, Charlotte, died March 4, 2012 at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation of Gastonia.
A native of Belmont, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Ada Anne Rodden Lawing. She retired from textiles and was a faithful and loving member of Lutheran Church of The Holy Comforter in Belmont.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00PM, Thursday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4:00PM at The Lutheran Church of The Holy Comforter with Dr. K. Mike Varn officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at the church.
Survivors include her caregivers of over 40 years, David & Alice Powell of Charlotte; numerous other nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Seagle; her brothers & sisters, Willie & Roscoe Lawing, Pearl Whitesides & Gertrude Powell.
