GILBERT
Billy Joe Gilbert, 73, of OKC passed away December 28, 1999. He was born September 6, 1926 in Bono, Texas to Chelsey and Venie Gilbert. Shortly thereafter, he moved to OKC. He attended Foster School for 12 years. Billy was drafted into the Navy December 13, 1944 and served until July 10, 1946. He worked for Industrial Machine for 20 years, CMI 2 years, & owned and operated BG Machines for 20 years. He was a member of Church of Christ since 1946 and served as a deacon from April 11, 1976 until present. Billy loved fishing, but most of all, loved being with his wife, daughter, granddaughter and many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and loving daughter, Regina. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Opal; granddaughter Jeena LeeAnn; sister Mildred Foshee all of OKC and several loving and caring family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 31, 1999 at the Church of Christ, 2432 SW 89th, OKC, under the direction of Baggerley-South Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, SW 104 and Walker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Billy Gilbert to Odyssey Health Care, 3613 NW 56, OKC.
