She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Padding; brother, Gilbert Wedeven; and sister-in-law, Elaine Padding.
Alma was a member of South Olive Christian Reformed Church and its Bible Club, and she served as a Sunday school teacher. She retired from West Ottawa Schools where she worked in food service for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rodger; children, Patricia and James Jones of Niwot, CO, Robert Van Nuil of Holland, John and Debra Van Nuil of Holland and Linda and Jeffrey Brouwer of Huntsville, AL; eight grandchildren; brother, Ron and Millie Wedeven; in-laws, Helen Wedeven of Zeeland, Laverne Padding of Hudsonville and Kenneth Van Nuil of Holland.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012, at South Olive Christian Reformed Church, 6425 N. 120th Ave., Holland. Pastor Adam Barton will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th St., Holland. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
