Hampton Funeral Service Obituary:
Beulah Baird Goodlake, affectionately known as "Aunt Budge", age 95, of 216 Will T. Baird Road, Sugar Grove, died Monday afternoon, March 5, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Goodlake was born March 15, 1916 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Will and Alice Burkett Baird. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Willowdale Baptist Church.
Mrs. Goodlake is survived by her loving family and caregivers, great-nieces, Kathy Otto and husband Dave, Sherry Hollars, Susan Triplett, and Doris Isaacs; great-nephews, Bobby McDonald and wife Cathy, and Tommy McDonald; nieces Jane Kolessar, Barbara Wyatt, and Debbie Watson and husband Morris; nephews, William Baird, Charles Vannoy and wife Grace, Wayne Vannoy and wife Marilyn, and several other great-nieces and nephews; special friend Wanda Brown, and a loving and supportive church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nevo Goodlake; two sisters, Margaret Vannoy and Mary McDonald, and three brothers, Benjamin Baird, Edward Baird, and Sumpter Baird.
A memorial service for Beulah Baird Goodlake will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 10, 2012, at 2:00 o'clock, at Willowdale Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Eugene Braswell.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
