Margaret Jane Honeycutt was born 8 Feb 1853 in Wise County, VA, to parents Valentine "Jack" Honeycutt and Mary Belle "Polly" Osborne Honeycutt. She was the second of ten children born to this union.

Margaret Jane married William J "Bill" Webb on 16 Nov 1871 in Johnson County, KY. The couple stayed in Johnson County for the remainder of their lives, living in Johns Creek, Greasy, Buffalo, and Van Lear. Margaret Jane and Bill raised nine children in Johnson County: William Madison Webb, Martella 'Tealy' Webb (Literral), Zora Alice Webb (Phelps), Adeline 'Addie' (Elliot), Proctor Webb, Rosella Webb (Davis), Laura Webb (Phelps), Ella Webb (Hall-Honaker), and Melvin Webb.

Margaret Jane Honeycutt Webb died 22 Feb 1931, in Johnson County, from cardiac decompensation, a condition of congestive heart failure in which the heart is unable to ensure adequate cellular perfusion in all parts of the body without assistance. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Bill. She was survived by her children and several grandchildren.
