George Russell Beasley II was delivered by a doctor in Las Cruces, New Mexico and died 3 days later. The only child of George Russell I and Sarah Virginia Briley Beasley to be delivered by a doctor and then die after birth. All other children were delivered by a mid-wife.

Grandson of Austin Beasley, Jr. (of Duplin County, North Carolina and later Dale County, Alabama) and Eleanor Reed Powell. Great-grandson of Pvt. Austin Beasley, Sr. (a Revolutionary War Soldier & large land owner), and Polly Mary Hollingsworth Carroll Beasley.
