-- YORK - Scott V. Burch, 50, of York, S.C., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1961, in Gaston County, son of the late John Vernon and Shirley Bell Burch.

Scott was a loving husband, dad, granddad and brother. He was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle, Dallas, N.C. Mr. Burch was the owner and operator of Turn Key Home Improvements.

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Independent Baptist Tabernacle, Dallas, N.C., officiated by Pastor Ralph Carver, Pastor Matt Burrell and Pastor Mark Stewart. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Beverly Martin Burch; sons, Chansler Burch, Joe Albert and wife, Kathleen; daughters, LeAnn Blackwell and husband, Johnathan, and Alycia Remsburger; sisters, Debbie Sharp and husband, Joe, Pam Black and husband, Don, Cindy Watts and husband, David, Lynn Burch, and Kathy Jennings and husband, John; grandchildren, Gabi Albert and Kailey Blackwell; and mother-in-law, Evelyn B. Martin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Vernon Wayne Burch; and grandparents, Clyde and Bessie Bell, and John and Ella Burch.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia, N.C.
