She was first married, according to county records, to Billy Rochelle. They were divorced sometime thereafter. In 1897, Vina gave birth to her first child, a daughter.
In 1900, Vina married Carroll Huston Williams, also a divorcee, at the Goosefoot Store located south of Skullbone, Tennessee. To this union were born seven more children, five boys and two girls.
Sometime around 1939 or so, Vina began living with her youngest daughter and son-in-law, Lorene and Fred McCartney. She continued living with her for 23 years until her death in 1962 at Lorene's home near Skullbone.
