Dorothy Ann Boring Boone, born March 8, 1919, went to Heaven Monday, March 5, 2012, from her home in Maryville. She was a lifelong member of Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Boone; parents, James H. "Tass" and Florence Payne Boring; grandsons, Randy Boone, Jason Boone, and Todd Reeves; and sister, Francis Dove Boring. She is survived by her children and in-laws: Betty and Herman Best, Jerri and Joel Horton, Paul and Lynda Boone, Phyllis Stevens, Roe and Sharon Boone, Ronnie and Donna Boone, and Gail and Eugene Garland; grandchildren and spouses: Elaine and Glenn Nief, Sarah and Steve Campbell, Mary Anne Bratton, Ricky and Angie Horton, Tammy Bales, Jeff Boone, Lori and James Sikes, Wendell and Leisa Reeves, Stephanie and Kevin Tweedy, Stuart and Lee Anne Boone, Brian and Christy Boone, Ashley and Weldon Davis, Whitney and Jason Tipton, and Amber and Chad Hampton; great-grandchildren: Ellery, Corrine, and Raina Nief; Shaylee, Miranda and Boone Bratton; Chevy Grace; Chris Bales and wife Kelsey; Mindi and husband Derek Walker; Jacob, Daniel, and Noah Sikes; Landon Reeves; Will Tweedy; Lilly Beth, Harrison, and Reese Boone; Brady and Rebecca Boone; Charity Davis; Caleb Hardwick; Jadyn Tipton; and Wesley Joy and Andrew Hampton; great-great grandchildren: Carter and Paisley Bales; brother: Jerome Boring and family of Pittsburgh, PA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Monte Vista Baptist Church in Maryville with the funeral to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Beecher Whitehead, Rev. Clifton Hearon, and Rev. Bob Dalton officiating. Family and friends will gather 2:00 PM Friday at Happy Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
