Alfred was born March 21, 1928 to Pedro and Mary Segura. In 1948, he married Jane Rodgriguez and together they raised 11 children.
Alfred begun a 32 year career with the City of Toledo working at the sewer department and was the first Hispanic supervisor in the department. He also seved as a deacon for 25 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Alfred was a member of Cornerstone Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert and Great-grandson Gabe.
Surviving are his loving wfe Jane; 11 children, Michael (Pat) Segura, Alfred Segura, Jr. (Debbie), Christine (Gary) Horton, Diane Segura, Anne (Gary) Kohler, Sharon (Max) Aranda, Anthony (Jenny) Segura, Joseph S. Segura, Donna Segura, Susan (Dave) Polry and Vicki (Ray) McGarry; brothers, Frank, Paul, Pete and Rudy and sister, Evelyn, 26 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 9 a.m. in Cornerstone Church, 1520 Reynolds Rd. at Dussel Dr., where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Highland Memory Gardens.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association or Cornerstone Church.
