Enlisted in the U.S. Army on October 13, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA. Served in Italy (I believe possibly as a Captain) in WWII. Changed the family name to "Kay" when he came home from WWII. He was a lawyer prior to WWII but went into business when he came back from the war. He was a partner in a Lumber business in the San Fernando Valley as it built houses after the war.

Died of a cardiac arrest at a L.A. RAMS football game on Halloween night.
