Elizabeth Poteet (HIGGINS) LIVINGSTON was the wife of Thomas LIVINGSTON [link # 8626722] and daughter of Wesley HIGGINS [link # 62469538] & Priscilla POTEET [link # 62469547] and granddaughter of 5th Great-Grandparents Samuel POTEET [link # 62309951] & Mary "Polly" SMITH [link # 62310046] and as such is a cousin to to the large GILMORE family which has a large amount of descendants in Missouri, Kansas, and Oregon especially

Marriage: Thomas Livingston married Elizabeth Petite Higgins, daughter of Wesley "Shanks" Higgins and Priscilla Poteet, on March 1, 1832, in Clay County, Missouri.
Elizabeth was born February 6, 1815 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee.
She died March 14, 1896 in Douglas County, Oregon, and is buried with her husband in the Melrose Cemetery.
Elizabeth's physical characteristics: She had black eyes, olive skin, black straight hair, and an oval face. She was 5" 7" tall. Her obituary was printed in the Roseburg, Oregon, Plaindealer, on March 16, 1896. She was the mother of 13 children, ten of whom preceeded her in death.
