He was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, the York Rite, the Al Chymia Shrine and the Shrine Chanters.
He was a member of Central Church and a barber shop singing group.
He left his wife Mrs. Claudia Bailey, a daughter, Ms. Donna Noah of the home; a son, LT. COL. John R. Bailey of Carlswell AFB, TX, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
