Mrs. Mary M. Flowers, 91, of Marshall, died at 8:55 p.m. Thursday (May 14, 1998) at the Burnside Nursing Home in Marshall. She was retired from the TRW facility and Burnsides Nursing Home, both of Marshall.

Funeral services were conductcd at 2:30 p.m. today at the Pearce Funeral Home with Brother Glenn Arbuckle and Brother Jeff Noel officiating. Burial followed in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Flowers was born June 5, 1906, in Edgar County, the daughter of Glenn Certain and Indiaola Hobbs Certain. She married Charles Flowers on Feb. 7, 1927, in Vigo County, Ind. He died on Oct. 11, 1972.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Perry Williams of Marshall: two grandsons and their wives. Larry and Judy Williams and Tony and Kim Williams, both of Marshall; one granddaughter and her husband. Cathy and Dave Galeener of Marshall; four great-grandchildren, Andy Williams, Abby William, Danielle Galeener and Aaron
Galeener; two sisters-in-law, Frances Flowers of Marshall and Winfred Wedgrich of Lake Forrest, Calif.; one nephew, Edwin Moats; and three great-nieces.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Certain, one sister, Mabel Madge Certain, and one niece, Anita Joan Certain Moats.

Mrs. Flowers was a member of the First Christian Church of Marshall and the Clark County Home Extension.
