Also surviving is a daughter, Lora Traylor and husband Jason of Beaver; a son, Tim Rumfield and wife Anita of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren, Robert and Thomas; a special sister-in-law, Beth Fox and her family, special niece and nephew Jeanine Thompson of Grove City and Jeff Brown of Columbus, Ohio; as well as two brothers-in-law, Ezra Butch Bobst and wife Janet and Daniel Bobst and their families.
Following graduation from Eastern High School in 1964, Darrell enlisted in the Ohio National Guard. He worked at Mead Paper beginning in 1967 through his retirement in the summer of 2008. During his time at Mead he worked in several departments, which included sheeters, distribution center, and eventually becoming a millwright in the maintenance department. Despite the long hours and hard work, he enjoyed his family and the close friendships and camaraderie that came with it. He served many years on the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department, was an avid sports fan taking special interest in The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Beaver.
Services were entrusted to Boyer Funeral Home of Waverly, Ohio.
