TOCCOA, GA. ? Mary Stephenson Mulkey, 89, of Toccoa died Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Stephens County Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Young and Minnie Lee Clodfelter Stephenson. She was born April 22, 1916, in Stephens County, where she had lived all her life. She was a graduate of Eastanollee High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Toccoa, the Emma Vickery ladies Bible class and the off-beat band of the church.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Hayes Mulkey; brothers, Tommie Lee Stephenson, Luther Alexander Stephenson, Hershel Byron Stephenson, Clarence Young Stephenson and Ben Yow Stephenson; and sisters, Hattie Lucille Brown, Azalee Madge Morris, Marion Norene Herring, Annie Loeona Stephenson and Sarah Elizabeth Whittenmore.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Stephen Gower, Claude Smithmier, Jack Lamb and Charles Ritter. Interment will be in Liberty Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Family members will be at their respective homes and will receive friends Tuesday at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.

Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 429 E. Tugalo St., Toccoa, Ga. 30577.
