Services were at Jeff Jones Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan 26, with interment in Concord Cemetery in Wadley. The Rev. Bill Hand and the Rev. Jim Browning (His son) Officiated.
Surviving are his wife, Mae Browning of Lafayette; three children, Rev. Jim Browning of Birmingham, Yvonne Denson of York, Pa. and David Browning of Pine Mountain Ga.; four brothers J.C. Browning of Huntsville Ala, Max Browning of Las Vagas, Nev., Gordon Browning of Germany and Lee Browning of Panama City Fla; seven grandchildren and one Great- grandchild.
Mr. Browning was a native of Alabama, born Jan 18, 1925,He owned and operated Browning's Five & Dime Store in Lafayette and later worked for the city of LaFayette. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lafayette.
