~*~ FORGET ME NOT ~*~

Forget me not, for I am there
In the beat of your heart,
On the wing of your prayer.

Close by your side is where I'll be,
Tucked in the midst of a sweet memory.
Don't ever think that the bond has been broken
For the love that I give is silently spoken.
As oft as you need me, as long as your years,
I'll bring you my solace and dry all your tears.
Forgive me my parting and leaving you thus,
A joyous reunion is waiting for us!
I live in the smiles of those children, so dear
And take such great pleasure in being quite near.
Continue to strive towards your goal and be brave,
Know that my love did not stop at the grave.
Hold fast to your dreams and your memories, too.
God's love and promises will see you through.
For God has allowed me to tell you this.
I whisper it softly, sealed with a kiss.
My spirit is with you through good times and bad.
I share all the joys and the sorrows you've had.
Feel my presence within your next breath,
And realize there is no distance in death.
Ask for my help and I'll answer your call.
Reach for my hand when you stumble and fall.
Run the last mile with a smile on your face,
My arms will be waiting when you finish the race.
