THOMPSONTOWN - Barbara J. Brookins, 31, of Thompsontown, died at 9:31 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2003, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

Born Feb. 24, 1972, in Derry Township, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of David J. and Eleanor R. (Swartz) Dustin of Thompstown. Her husband, Philip D. Brookins, whom she married Nov. 11, 1989, survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Ashley Marie Brookins and Sara Ellen Brookins, both at home; two sisters, Kelly J. Dustin, Thompsontown, and Marguerite E. Ouderkirk, Petoskey, MI; and maternal grandparents, James E. Swartz, Mexico, and Earl and Barbara A. Nickel, Thompsontown.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Melinda Sue Dustin, on Nov. 8, 2002.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the McAlisterville Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes Inc., 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with Rev. William P. Luckadoo officiating. Interment will follow in Maze Cemetery, RR1 Thompsontown.

A viewing will be held 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the family present 7-9 p.m.
