William C. Duckworth, 89, of Memphis died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 after a brief illness.
He was a Jane Austin scholar, author, poet, and retired engineer.
He was a graduate of the University of the South and received post graduate degrees from Georgia Tech and the University of Memphis.
He leaves behind three sons and two grandsons.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 15th, at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, Tennessee at 1 p.m. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge.
