Rev. Paul R. Arnold, 79, of Odin, a former pastor of the Calhoun Christian church more than thirty years ago, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital, Centralia.

Funeral services will be in Linton Funeral Home, Kinmundy. Burial will be in Sandy Branch Cemetery, near Kinmundy.

Mr. Arnold was born near Kinmundy. A World War I veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mount Vernon.

He married Jeanette Arbuckle.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Paul, Jr., of Centralia; Douglas and Lynn, both of Odin; Robert of Selmaville; daughters, Mrs. Sonja Hartnell of Dix; Mrs. Vivian Ackman of Marion; sister, Mrs. Mabel Boehm of Mount Vernon; stepson, Earl Leat of Decatur; stepdaughter, Mrs. Goldie Baylis of Kinmundy; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
