Mr. Arnold was born near Kinmundy. A World War I veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mount Vernon.
He married Jeanette Arbuckle.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Paul, Jr., of Centralia; Douglas and Lynn, both of Odin; Robert of Selmaville; daughters, Mrs. Sonja Hartnell of Dix; Mrs. Vivian Ackman of Marion; sister, Mrs. Mabel Boehm of Mount Vernon; stepson, Earl Leat of Decatur; stepdaughter, Mrs. Goldie Baylis of Kinmundy; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
