On Thursday, March 1, 2012, Barbara A. Lomison, 78, joined her husband of 57 years and together they are now singing in the Heavenly Choir.

She was born August 19, 1933, in Lock Haven the daughter of the late Daniel and Gladys Seymour Reeder.

While in high school Barb was a standout athlete and cheerleader. This is when she caught the eye and captured the heart of a young Kelsey Lomison. They were married on June 5, 1954 in the Orviston Bible Church and together they raised their family.

Family was most important to the couple and they extended that love to the community in many ways. One of Barb's many achievements was cofounding the Lock Haven First Ward picnic, an annual event that still continues.

She was an active member of the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church and a former member of the Orviston Bible Church.

Barb loved the Bible and sharing God's word with others. If she were here she would say "Smile God loves you and so do we. John 3:16."

She is survived by two sons, Wesley A. (Missy), of Orviston, and David W., of Milesburg; four grandchildren, Wesley Jr., Leslie D., both of Blanchard, David Jr. (Jessica), of Karthaus, and Breanna Wolfe (Joshua) of Centre Hall; one step-grandaughter, Leslie Scott (Chris) of Mill Hall, five great-grandchildren, Kaleb Lomison, Kamdyn Lomison, Sadie Wolfe, Dawson Lomison and Jack Wolfe, and one step-great-grandson, Brayden Scott.

She is also survived by her loving brother Daniel Reeder (Rose), of Swissdale and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Kelsey E. Lomison on Feb. 6, 2012; two sisters, Doris Yoxheimer, and Eleanor Swartz, and one brother Richard Reeder.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 5, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church with Pastor Alan Eckenroad and the Rev. Karl Steele officiating. Burial will be in Schenck's Cemetery, Howard. Friends will be received at the church on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m.
