Burned to death.

The friends of Mrs. Carpenter, who sometime since was so terribly burned, will be deeply pained to learn that she died yesterday noon at 12:30 from the injuries then received. Mrs Carpenter has suffered long and most acutely, but every confidence was expressed in the hopes of her ultimate recovery, and not until a short time previous to the end were fears entertained. Her children have been telegraphed for, and will be here to attend the funeral, which takes place this morning 10 o'clock at the Universalist Church.
