Lucille was the fifth child and youngest daughter of Jesse Walker and Hannah Porter Hudiburg. Her father was a Presbyterian minister and the family moved frequently and the family lived in fourteen states during his ministery.

Lucille went to the University of Oklahoma and finished her vocal studies at Bush Conservatory of Music in Chicago.

She worked as a singer on the radio in Chicago and made a move to New York City where she had several jobs--PR person for an insurance company, production in radio and ultimately worked in the new medium of television. She continued to work in television through the 1960's.

She moved to Texas in 1979,after spending most of her adult life as a single, independent career woman. She met her husband Wilbur Fairlamb in Texas and they married 4 Jan 1982.

Both Wilbur and Lucille died in Montgomery County,
Texas and were cremated.
