"DIED -- At Ashland, Thursday, July 23, 1891, of whooping cough, Joe Davis, the bright little infant son of James N. Davis. Since his mother's death last spring, little Joe has found a home with Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Folsom who have been kind and loving foster parents and who today feel keenly the loss of this bright joy from their home. The funeral services and burial occurred at Weston, the following day."
