Funeral service for Millard W. Nelson, 78, will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Graveside in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Michael Callahan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Nelson died on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Parkway Medical Center. He was born August 30, 1933, in Morgan County to James Memory Nelson and Mary Elizabeth (McDougle) Nelson. Mr. Nelson was retired from Amoco Chemical as an electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: James Nelson, Jr., Horace Ray Nelson, and Jimmy Nelson.

Survivors include :

One Daughter: Brenda Halbrooks (Bobby), Hartselle, AL

One Sister: Linda Likens, Decatur, AL

One Surviving Grand Child: Robin Riley, Hartselle, AL

Special Friend: Betty Hensley, Danville, AL

Pallbearers will be Jason Nelson, David Ryan, Louis J. Brady, Phillip Hensley, Shannon Likens, and Jack Nelson.
