A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at The First Presbyterian Church, 446 Kentucky Street, Gridley for Jacqueline Bequette Lolmaugh, 58 of Gridley, California. She passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital after a twenty-four year battle with Gardner's Syndrome. Jacquie was born in Gridley, California on August 6, 1951. She graduated from Gridley High School in 1969 and attended Butte Community College and Chico State University. In 2006, despite her ill health, she received her B.A. degree from Phoenix University. Being a very friendly girl with a radiant smile, she enjoyed all ages of people from all walks of life. Young children loved her, and her seven grandchildren were her pride and joy. Despite many painful surgeries and insurmountable hardships, Jacquie volunteered for several fund â€" raising activities to help the town of Gridley. She organized fashion shows and luncheons to raise money for the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital. She was a Cub Scout pack leader, and an active member in Little League and Junior Women's Club. In 1989 she was chosen Woman of the Year of the town of Gridley. Jacquie was also a member of the Gridley Presbyterian Church. Jacquie was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy M. Bequette, a sister, Debbie Bequette in 1985 and a baby sister, Jerilyn Bequette. Jacquie is survived by her three children: Heather Ellis and husband, Matt of Sacramento, CA, Reese Lolmaugh and wife, Kelly of Biggs, CA and Matthew Lolmaugh and wife, Stephanie of Gridley, CA. She is also survived by her parents, Jack & Diane Bequette of Gridley, CA; 2 sisters: Darlene Fredericks & husband Jeff of Biggs, CA and Millie Heard & husband Mike of Crows Landing, CA; 2 brothers: John Bequette & wife Linda of Garden Valley, Idaho and Todd Bequette & wife Helen of Lafayette, CA. Jacquie's seven grandchildren complete her immediate family. A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Susan Hill will officiate at the services. Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery. Contributions to the Biggs-Gridley Memorial Hospital are suggested by the family.
