Carl Dean Goodson, age 84, of Marion, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 at The McDowell Hospital. Mr. Goodson was born in Surry County on April 18, 1923 and was the son of the late Mitchell C. Goodson and Ennice Todd Goodson.
Left to cherish Mr. Goodson's memory are his wife of 55 years, Mary Anderson Goodson of the home; four children, Mitch Goodson and wife, Jan, of Marion, Lynne West and husband, Charlie, of Greenville, S.C., Carl Todd Goodson and wife, Greta, of Marion, and Mark Goodson and wife, Teri, also of Marion.
