Clark was the only child of Glenton and Pauline Wright Balch.. He and a buddy went deer hunting in the mountains of Orange County, California. When they didn't return, a search party was sent out and their bodies where found under their Jeep which had gone over a cliff. Clark's remains were cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea.
