Alease received her formal training in the county schools and became a home schooler for the children in the community. She joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Wendell, N.C. at an early age and served as a Sunday School Teacher and on the First Aide Board. Children: Jone(Lois), Willie Earl, Carl Yates, Kay Dodson(James), Geraldine Banks(Joseph), Bettie Jefferson, Carolyn Richardson , Ava Karen Tabron(Loreli), one brother in law, Guyon Perry, and thirty two grandchildren forty-two great grandchildren, ten great, great grandchildren.
