The funeral of Isam P Allen, an aged and respected citizen of this community, was held in the Forest Home Church Sunday afternoon. Rev Rhodes conducted the service. Burial was made in the Masonic IOOF cemetery at Montezuma, Iowa and at the grave the Masonic burial service was given. He had reached the advanced age of 94 years, 6 month and 16 days. Mr Allen was the oldest member of Lafayette Lodge.
He was married to Mary M Barnes on December 11, 1851 in Parke County, Indiana.
He came to Iowa in 1852 and for nearly a half century was a respected citizen of this community. He went to Kansas in 1875 and returned to Montezuma in 1895.
Bereaved of his wife, he made his home with relatives here. For many months past he had been in feeble health.
