Albert Burke, 82, of Route 2, died Wednesday, April 8, 1992, at Jenkins County Hospital after a brief illness. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Fair Haven United Methodist Church, with the Reverends Gordon Goodwill and Doug Mays officiating. Burial will be in Millen Cemetery.

Mr. Burke, a lifelong resident of Burke County, had retired as a dairyman and was a member of Fair Haven United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyne Shackelford, Augusta, and Sandra Black, Millen; four sisters, Mae Boone and Mrs. L.R. 'Bill' Lewis, both of Millen, Mrs. Milton Wise, Portal, and Mrs. Lamar Heath, Girard; a brother, Herman F. Burke, Millen; and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Bert Shakelford, Lamar Black, F.A. Black, Ed Graham, Ted Godbee, Eulie Dailey and Wayne Burke. Crowe-Fields Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
