Christian Bingiman Hollowell married first to Rebecca Noblett, they had three girls, she died in 1845, married 2nd to Lila Trammel, he was the son of Henry Hollowell and Martha Bingiman. Christian B. was raised in the Quaker faith with his father, Henry, and his grandfather, John Hollowell, they were elders of the Church of Christ in Valeene, Orange Co., Ind. After the death of his father and grandfather, Christian B. left the church and moved out west. He was in Civil War, Union., moved to Missouri remarried,3rd to Christina C. Delaney, they divorced, He then moved to Pope Co., Arkansas with several children.

He died at the home of his son, Thomas Lee Hollowell "In July, Mr. C. B. Hollowell died. We buried him in a little graveyard called Gravel Hill at St. Paul, Methodist Church." as told by Mintie Hollowell ,wife of Thomas Lee.

"We left there (Arkansas) with four children; Lorena, Sam, Ruth, and John. We started to Texas in November with our belongings in a covered wagon. My husband's father, Mr. Christian B.Hollowell, was with us. He was old and not well so we did not go to Texas then. My husband bought out a store at Caglesville, Arkansas in 1898. We stayed there that year. In July, Mr. C. B. Hollowell died. We buried him in a little graveyard called Gravel Hill at St. Paul, Methodist Church."
