S/O William Howard and Myrtle (Hannan)Devine Baltzell. He married June Thomas 13 Jun 1942. William entered the U.S.Army as a Private 22 Dec 1942. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Battle Star, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal. He served at Ft. Jackson, S.C.; Camp Hyder, AZ; Camp Pickett, VA; Hawaiian Isles; and the Philippines.He was killed in action.
