Emeline Elizabeth Woodruff of Eugene, died March 8 of age-related causes. She was 85. Woodruff was born April 28, 1918, in Tacoma to Aaron and May Wood Rouse. She married Harold Woodruff in Tacoma on July 2, 1940. She lived in Tacoma, Willamina and Okinawa before settling in this area. She was a missionary's wife and served with her husband in Okinawa for 38 years. She enjoyed helping others and sharing her faith. She will be remembered as a very open and generous person. She was a member of the Garden Way Church in Eugene and a former member of the Noti Church of Christ, the Newberg Christian Church and the Willamina Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; a son, Dan of Eugene; two daughters, Annie Kruse of Coos Bay and Nancy Toliver of Austin, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Pittam of Sonoma, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Eugene. West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
