Ross Joseph Dumas, 21, Ellenburg, was killed in a single car accident last Thursday near Burke, and a passendger Raymond Joseph Charette 22, Ellenburg was critically injured and taken to the alice Hyde Hospital, Malone. The deceased was bon October 5, 1942, at Ellenburg. He attended Ellenburg Central School and was in the army for three years. two them spent in Japan. He was honorably dischard on September 8th and returned home. The deceased is survived by his parents, Francis and Beatrice (LeClair) Dumas, one brother Roger, Plattsburgh; his mathernal grandmother, Mrs Flora LeClair, Ellenburg; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs Frank Dumas, Brasher Falls. Funeral services took place at St. Edmunds Church Ellenburg Saturday morning and burial was make in the church cemetery. Rev. Gilbert Faucher celebrated the mass with Rev McCabe as deacon and Rev Albert Richardson sub deacon. It was a full military funeral conducted by the 820th AeroSpace drill team directed by SSgt Willie Felton and A.2C Edmund Gibson of the Plattsburgh Air Force Base. the color guard was led by S. Sgt William Neyer of PAFB. Bearers were John W. McGill A3C, Ronald Prior A2C, Sturat Krinick, A-B, Rober tyrell A2C Paul E. Harris and A2C Gerald Wiedrich. They are members of the 820th Combat Support Group PAFB.
