Mary Kindness Babb, 82, formerly of 104 Lawton Street, Greer, died February 23, 2012 at National Healthcare of Greenville. Born and raised in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Bessie Bowers Babb. She was a retired textile employee and a Baptist. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Chuck) and Donna Babb of Greer; grandsons, Kyle (Shari) Babb of Charleston and Kevin (Heather) Babb of Greer; a great-grandson, Wyatt Lee Babb, due to arrive in March; a sister Janice Garrett of Lyman and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Babb was predeceased by a sister, Eva Rollins and brothers, Clinton, Hendrix, Milus and Lowell and a grandson John Thomas Babb. Visitation will be held 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wood Mortuary followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Paul Jimenez and Dr. Howard Foster. Private interment. Memorials may be made to Connie Maxwell Children's Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648. The family would like to thank the Unit 4 staff of National Healthcare, Boiling Springs Road and Interim Hospice for their wonderful care and service.
