Orlando - Jacquelyn B. Akins (Jackie), 91, formerly of Ocala, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011. Her close family survivors include her only son Wesley "Plukie" (Mertha) Akins; four grandchildren: Jody (Tonya), Bertrann, LaVar (Ronda), and Sonya Wilder-Johnson (Thomas). Jackie was great-grandmother to Courtney, RJ, and Monique Akins, and Kyle Johnson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark A.M.E. Church, 1968 Bruton Blvd., Orlando, FL. Services are under the direction of Mitchell's Funeral Home, 501 Fairvilla Rd., Orlando, FL 32808, 407-298-0703, where visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
