Minor C. Bailey, 77 of 1804 Central, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth hospital after a short illness. He had been hospitalized three days.
Born at Colfxt, Mr. Bailey spent most of his life at Lafayette. He was married to Rosa Lamb who died in 1912. He later married Cora Lemons who died in 1944. Mr. Bailey who was last employed by the Fourth Avenue Amusement company was a former employee of the Peerless Wire Goods Company.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell D. Martin and Mrs. Martin J. Taylor, both of Lafayette; a son Claude J. Bailey of Huntington and a sister, Mrs. Bruce Kelly of Hastings, Mich. [ Lafayette Journal and Couries, Aug.18, 1958, page 2, col.2.]
