WEBB CITY, Mo. - Lorene Fitzpatrick Alumbaugh, 69, 318 S. Main St., died at 11: 07 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at the home of a daughter, Diane Meister, Carthage, after a short illness.

Mrs. Alumbaugh was born June 19, 1928, at Lowell, Kan., and was a lifetime resident of the area.

She was a former owner of Jo-Dee Donut Shop at Carl Junction.

She also had worked at the former Motorola's Webb City plant and Bell Egg Farm of rural Joplin.

She was a member of Frisco Church of Webb City.

She married Merl Fitzpatrick on Feb. 2, 1946, at Columbus, Kan. He died Nov. 30, 1970.

She married Carl Alumbaugh on Aug. 5, 1978, at Joplin. He died March 30, 1995.

Additional survivors include another daughter, Jody Chambers, Fort Smith, Ark.; three stepsons, Steve Alumbaugh, Webb City, Michael Alumbaugh, Alba, and Floyd Alumbaugh, with the U.S. military in the Persian Gulf; a stepdaughter, Carla Grimm, Tampa, Fla.; a brother,. Bill Etcheson, Webb City; three sisters, Pansy Wardlow, Carl Junction, and Lillie Dickson and Hazel Berry, both of Webb City; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Frisco Church. The Rev. Dale Shoup and Steve Hutchinson, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Carterville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at Simpson Funeral Home, and be at the home of Mrs. Meister.
